CLOVIS, N.M. – The New Mexico District Attorney’s Association held it’s 2026 Spring Conference and Awards banquet on April 14, 2026, at the Marriott Albuquerque Uptown. The annual event recognized outstanding staff members from across the state for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to supporting the justice system in New Mexico.
These awards highlight the important role each recipient plays in upholding justice and serving the people of New Mexico.
District Attorney Quentin Ray recognized three honorees from the Ninth Judicial District:
- Prosecutor of the Year: Brett Carter
- Junior Prosecutor of the Year: Anthony Jaimes
- Support Staff Employee of the Year: Samantha Long, Victim Advocate
DA Ray stated, “These individuals represent the very best part of our profession. We are proud to recognize Brett, Anthony, and Samantha for their hard work, much of which happens behind the scenes. Their passion for justice, tireless work ethic, and unwavering integrity set a standard for us all and help ensure that the District Attorney’s Office continues making a meaningful difference in the lives of our community.”
