Clovis, NM – Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Andrea Reeb, announced that today Bryon Daughtry, age 48, of Clovis, NM, was sentenced to 8 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections for Possession of Methamphetamine, a fourth degree felony. Daughtry was on probation for Trafficking Controlled Substances when on July 28, 2018, he was found by probation officers to be in possession of methamphetamine. The defendant has three prior felony convictions which are all drug related.
The Honorable Fred Van Soelen presided over the case. Assistant District Attorney, Arwen Gaddis, prosecuted the case for the State, which was set for trial until the defendant plead straight up to the charges on October 18, 2019. Criminal Defense Attorney, Frank Rio, of Portales, represented Daughtry.
