Clovis Woman Sentenced to 14 years in Prison for Drug Trafficking

Clovis, NM – Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Andrea Reeb, announced that Sabrina Martinez, age 38, of Clovis, was sentenced to 14 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections, following a plea of guilty to two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

 

On October 4, 2016, Martinez was arrested on an active warrant and was found with methamphetamine, cocaine, a firearm and $8,000 in her possession.

 

The Honorable Drew D. Tatum presided over the plea hearing today and in addition to the 14 year sentence, Martinez will serve an additional four years on probation upon release from prison.

 

Claire Adams, Assistant District Attorney prosecuted the case for the State.  Martinez was represented by Herman Ortiz, Attorney at Law, of Mesilla Park, NM.
