Clovis NM – Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Andrea Reeb, announced that Antonio Sena, age 32, of Clovis; was sentenced today by Ninth Judicial District Judge Drew Tatum on charges of Receiving/Transferring Stolen Motor Vehicles; Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer; Possession of Marijuana; Careless Driving and Improper Equipment. Sena was sentenced to ten and one-half years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections. Sena had previously been convicted of three felonies, which enhanced the sentencing by eight years. Sena was convicted at trial by a Curry County jury on October 27, 2017.
Sena was arrested after a high speed chase on a stolen motorcycle in October of 2016, and ultimately had to be tased before he would comply with officers. Sena had five outstanding arrest warrants at the time.
Sena still has three pending cases, with charges of Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer and Forgery.
Assistant District Attorney, Kristen Beltran, prosecuted the case for the State of New Mexico.
